Domestic or Inbound Travel

Domestic travel as well as inbound travel to the US and/or MSU may resume following pre-COVID travel procedures. All travelers must continue to follow the health and safety measures outlined below.

Domestic Travel Guidance

Travel Health Guidance

Do not travel if:

  • You are sick.
  • You test positive for COVID-19.
  • You are recommended to quarantine due to exposure to someone with COVID-19.
  • You have a fever, cough, or shortness of breath.

Everyone is strongly encouraged to review the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Travel: Frequently Asked Questions and Answers.

If traveling to MSU from outside of the US, please review the most recent CDC guidelines for international travel to the US.

Returning to or Visiting MSU

Everyone coming to MSU from in-state, out-of-state, or international locations must follow the general guidance posted on MSU Together We Will.

Any international travelers should review applicable CDC guidelines and restrictions for international travelers to the US.

Units sponsoring incoming visitors for programmatic activities should be prepared to reschedule or cancel the visit if the public health situation on campus or at point of departure worsens. Units are also responsible for communicating and assisting with MSU health and safety guidelines.

A toll-free COVID-19 hotline at 888-353-1294 is available to answer questions from the campus community about the university's response to COVID-19.
