Contact the International SOS 24/7 Scholastic Assistance Line (1-215-942-8478) to identify appropriate medical care and to receive advice relating to your health, safety, security, lost documents, or legal assistance.
In a life threatening situation, always call the local emergency number. Contact International SOS (1-215-942-8478) as soon as possible in an emergency situation. They can assist with arranging medical transportation and care, monitoring your condition and providing advice along the way, and evacuating you when necessary.
International SOS works closely with the Office for Global Health, Safety, and Security to immediately notify us of any issues requiring the coordination of MSU support.
If you need a proof of health coverage letter, for example, for a visa application, you may print one from the Education Abroad (EA) portal after your program's application deadline.
If you have any issues with the portal, contact the Office for Education Abroad.
If you pay out-of-pocket for any medical expenses, save your receipt(s) and submit a reimbursement claim. Invoices can also be submitted for direct payment (see specific instructions on the claim form).
Claims must be submitted within 90 days of incurring the expense. There are two ways to submit a claim:
Option 1: Submit to the Online Claims Portal
An acknowledgment email will be generated automatically once you submit the claim. If you do not receive that email, your submission wasn't successful and you should try again.
Option 2: Submit by Email.
You can contact Chubb directly by calling 1-800-336-0627 or 1-302-476-6194.
For your convenience, International SOS membership cards are available to MSU-sponsored travelers. Stop by the International Center Room 308 to pick one up or contact us to request one by mail.
Travelers are also strongly encouraged to go paper-free and download the free International SOS app.
